Blossoms have always been a buyer’s favourite. And Sala’s buds never fail to bring a smile about. “I’m inspired by Van Gogh’s large colour palettes,” she says. “I try to incorporate many shades and tones in my flowers.” Sala’s distinctive flower technique was developed late one night when she became frustrated with painting the centre of a daisy. Deciding to use a thicker mixture of natural colours, she found the new method created vivid dimensions not seen in other paintings. Daisies can be commissioned and customized to suit any environment.
